Student Chapter Awards 2007

Every year, the Student Chapter of the INFORMS at Texas A&M acknowledges the dedication and outstanding performance of faculty members and students whose research is related to or promote the application of Operations Research (OR) and the Management Sciences (MS). Also, acknowledges the people who directly or indirectly support the activities of the Student Chapter, including Department Staff, current Officers and former Officers.The appreciation awards are given based on the following criterion:

 

1. Appreciation Award to the Faculty.

  • Brought new research areas to the Department.
  • Offered new graduate courses.
  • Helped to improve Industrial Engineering Program.
  • Helped Student Chapter with its objectives.
  • Active participation with the INFORMS-National.

The award was given in the Department's Annual Banquet to:
Dr. Andrew Johnson – Appreciation Award.

2. Appreciation Award to Former Officers.

  • Brought a significant development for the Student Chapter accordingly with the mission and purpose.
  • Established/improved organizational structure.
  • Showed leadership and motivation for all the officers and members.

The award was given in the Department's Annual Banquet to:
Ezgi Eren – Former Officer Appreciation Award.

3. Appreciation Award to Department Staff.

  • Supported the Student Chapter activities by means of communication, information, facilities and equipment.

The award was given in the Department's Annual Banquet to:
Mark Hopcus – Department Staff Appreciation Award.
